Hi everyone,
It has been a long while since I last posted anything onto this page…what did really happened???Did I suddenly become uninterested in writing or did I just become very lazy to do anything that involves making an effort…hehehe. Or did I become a couch potato??
Well…neither that nor this…but I have been so engrossed with the face book that I almost forgot about this blog of mine…hehehe.
So…what am I going to write today? Everyone seems to know a lot of thing about everything…or do we??
We are almost in the middle of the year. Like always, like all the previous years, people make resolution at the beginning of the year….and like in all those previous years, many resolved to lose weight…
For those who resolved to lose weight. Are you anywhere near your target weight??Or have you gained instead of losing? I know a person who told me, he was once 62kg, ballooned up to 75 kg past few years…lost 3 kg during fasting month but regained all those 3 kg back and more after the fasting month that he is now weighs 82kg.So what went wrong in his diet program??Many things can go wrong…let us examine step by step what and where it went wrong and how could we make amendment so we reach our targeted weight before the end of the year 2010.
1) Firstly what is the perfect weight you wanted to achieve? Never mind that some people want to be walking skeleton. You don’t have to be like them but you must have at least an idea of what weight is considered perfect to you..
2) Write out this perfect weight and place it over the read out of your weighing scale…every time you weigh yourself, you will see this weight, if not, don’t weigh yourself at all.
3) Don’t envy, but admire people with nice body, anyone you considered have perfect weight…praise them
4) If you see fat people, do not look at them for long period of time!!Do not stare at them or observe them for long…if you have no choice but to look at them, switch your mind to the perfect body picture you have always wanted to have
5) Feel good about your body, stop being critical and find fault with it
6) When you eat, enjoy your food, feel your food, keep your mind in the present and experience the sensation of eating food
7) Do not skip meals, but take frequent 4-5 small meals
8) Try to ensure your meals contain lots of fluid. Your diet has to have at least 75% water in them. But this does not mean you have to drown your cells by drinking excessive water.
9) If possible, take salad with your meals especially lunch and dinner. Have fruits as dessert instead of cake or ice cream
10) Exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes a day for 3-5 days a week
11) Reward yourself once in a while with food you love in a small portion every time you reach certain weight or at the end of say every 2 weeks
Well…I think this is enough for the time being…just remember, don’t be too hard on your body and don’t tell your brain you are on DIET….until my next posting, live with passion and take care…
